When a snowstorm struck and all flights were cancelled, UMass Women’s Ice Hockey all made the 12 hour drive to Columbus, OH, crammed into vans. There was no chance they would miss the National Tournament.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, UMass was forced to forfeit game 1 of a 3 game series against Lindenwood Belleville. After 12 hours in a car, UMass had all the odds stacked against them. However, this adversity only lit a fire underneath them, and UMass won the next two games against Lindenwood Belleville 7-3 and 4-2.

UMass ultimately lost 0-1 in the semifinals to the 1 team Liberty University.
